The group was very successful in the Netherlands and other European countries, one of their biggest hits was the Golden Earring cover version "Radar Love".

Cecilia left the group in 1988 and was succeeded by Sandra Noach. After her tragic death Centerfold ceased to exist. The 2nd Centerfold album "Whistling at the Wolves" was ready, but was never released.
Laura and Rowan then recorded an album under the name "The Backlot", re-recording songs from the never released album "Whistling at the Wolves". Two singles were released as well, "Tower of Love" and "The Goodbye".
Laura is still active and quite successful as a jazz singer. Rowan Moore moved on to various work for TV and media, in front and behind the camera.

Laura Fygi
For the first eight years of her life, she lived with her parents in South America. She is the daughter of a Dutch father (a manager at Philips) and an Egyptian mother.
Between 1987 and 1991, Laura Fygi was a member of one of the most popular Dutch girl-bands, Centerfold. During performances, the ladies dressed themselves in sexy lingerie. They had hits in the Netherlands and all over Europe. In Japan, they were considered famous.
In 1991, the ladies of Centerfold stopped performing and Laura (together with Rowan Moore) started a band called The Backlot. After one performance in Dutch theatre Paradiso, an album was expected, but Mercury Records had already asked Laura to make a solo album. This first album of hers was called Introducing (album), produced by Ruud Jacobs. On this album, she was accompanied by famous Belgian musician Jean 'Toots' Thielemans.

Rowan Moore
Rowan Moore was born in Israel and raised in England. Before she started in the group Centerfold she was a model and also appeared nude various times. She posed for Penthouse including a report that appeared in September 1982 in the US edition. In December 1983 she was in the Dutch Playboy and again in May 1984 as part of the group Centerfold.

Sandra Noach
Sandra Noach joined Centerfold in 1988 after Cecilia de la Rie had left. In May 1989, shortly after the last ever Centerfold single "Play the Game" had been released, she committed suicide and was hit by a car on a Dutch motorway.
